When to go
Hatsuneya Garden opens for lunch from 11:30 AM and for dinner from 5:30 PM, closing on Tuesdays. Arriving at the edges of each service (early lunch or just as evening begins) tends to offer the most unhurried atmosphere. Kawagoe's old town is lovely in autumn foliage and during spring, when the surrounding streets feel especially alive.
